Default idle air bypass valve??

Anyone used one of those idle air bypass valves do the increase the idle????
what does it do increase idle or what?

ford part number f2pe9f939aa it looks like a polate to put in in between the iac and the throttle body??

I had one, it made the idle hang, I took it off. However I have heard other ppl having success w/ them though

my car had one already on when i bought it. no problems. i read in one of my mustang books they are good if you have a different cam than stock. the guy before me had ford put a e303 cam in it and they put it on at same time.

Maybe your IAC is bad?
well I cleaned it with carb cleaner and then I tried that thing that adder said by taking the IAC plug out and try and it came down right away. It wouldn't keep a idle at all so I know it has to be working right? I have checked vacuum lines but I couldn't find anything. I wanna get this fixed. FYI new IAC = $175 Can [&:]
