Default intake removal

Can you remove the lower intake without pulling the distributer? I haven't done one in awhile and usually pulled it, but now that I'm older and lazier if I don't have to I'd rather not.

With the motor having 200K miles I was just worried about the oil pump shaft sticking to the distributer and pulling out of the oil pump when I remove the destributer. I've seen it happen before and it sucks.
