Experience with Canfield heads
Getting ready to buy some of there 170cc or 195cc heads & a custom cam for my stock 302. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with any of these heads before. If so please list. Thanks!!!

RE: Experience with Canfield heads
no personal experience but i can tell you that from everything i have read/heard/saw they are excellent heads. for a streetable 302 with a stock bottom end and fuel injection i would recommend the 170cc heads, i believe the larger ones will be overkill.
nice to see someone NOT getting AFR's or Trick Flows, even though they are both excellent heads as well. |
RE: Experience with Canfield heads
AFR & Trick Flow are good heads but want to try something different. Jay Allen at CI is getting me a H/C combo together & i'm very excited. I just want to see if anyone else was running any of these heads & hear there experiences.

RE: Experience with Canfield heads
Never heard a bad thing about them...get an intake to help them flow better [/align] |
RE: Experience with Canfield heads
Setting up a 2K package w/ Jay I would guess hes not running a stock intake ;)
Or are you??? [:@]:D |
RE: Experience with Canfield heads
Well I have the Typhoon intake but I'm thinking of finding a used System max or if I use the typhoon I will have it port matched to help a little more.

RE: Experience with Canfield heads
Only prob i hear with Canfields is thier exahsut ports are in
slightly higher position than normal. So you might have some header or exhaust mid pipe alignment problems. |
