Flowmasters dont flow as good as the dynomax ultra flows. If you want loud, get dynomax bullets [sm=icon_cheers.gif]

Here's what the dynomax super turbos sound like on my car.. if you dont have dial up..

thats very surprising, i mean - theres hardly anything in the flow's to block the flow opf exhaust.

a certain amount of backpressure is good, i wonder if the dynamax ultra flows (and stuff like glasspacks) arent quite enough?

so, hooker max flows FTW, cept theres no back pressure being created which has gotta be killing the torque (if i understand exhaust theory correct and i believe i do [&:])

Just to be a little more clear...exhaust velocity creates TQ, not backpressure. Most people get that mixed up. 2.5" pipes are actually too big for a stock or close to stock 5.0 w/ free flowing mufflers. That's why people w/ free flowing exhausts lose low-end tq. Stock diameter pipes w/ free flowing exhaust would be more likely to keep the TQ and add HP up top.....

Most mufflers keep the velocity up (which is why they don't flow as well as some), keeping the low end TQ even though most aftermarket cat-backs are 2.5".

EDIT: If you have the $, go w/ Borla mufflers.

I had hooker aero chambers on my car for awhile. I liked the sound of them alot, got a lot of comment on the sound of it also (good ones). Only reason I replaced them is because they were quite old and were begining to rust.

I have a small clip of me rolling my car forward about 15 feet. nothing great but something i suppose.

headers with bolt on glasspacks are hawt
I had that setup on a Camaro I had with a 383 and dumped. Very LOUD!!!
Never lost any torque when I went from flowmasters to magnaflow which are just like dynomax ultra flows. Very deep down low and loud up top, much better than flows. I was looking at SLP LM2 but got a good price on magnaflows.
