Default won't start when hot

i just finished moving my battery to the back of my car with 2g wire and 4g ground and it starts up even better than it used to except when its hot. once its been running for a little while and i shut it off it won't start back up. and by hot i mean i only let it run til it was around 125-150 degrees just to see if it would have this problem. So now how can i fix this? What's causing the problem?

It starts right up after about 30minutes to an hour though, right? Check your ground, since it most likely stems from that since you just relocated the battery. I had the same problem after swapping heads, cam and intake. I replaced everything ignition related and it ended up being something in the distributor, even though I had already replaced the stator and tfi.

its your ignition control module, i had the same issue and fixed it instantly, its a 17 dollar part and its easy to fix, like seariously 10 minutes, and buy the little tool with it, ignition control module screwdriver thing, it was like 10 bucks. makes life way easier. make sure you use the little packet of stuff it comes with liberally all over the metal peice

ya the car still wont start, and its says its at ~140F. The cables aren't even warm so i think the gauge is fine.

tighten down all the wires to the battery and check the posts on your starter solinoid mine was doing that too for a while and it turned out the posts were very dirty. it ended up not started at all and i was doing rolling jump starts for week saving up for a new starter thinking it was that i was wrong. got the new started and it still didnt start

everything is nice and tight, ill check the posts on my solenoid but im pretty sure there just fine. i bought an ignition control module off a friend of mine so ill try that tomorrow. he told me before when he moved the battery to the trunk in his girlfriends car that he built it wouldnt work right, but he didnt bother to mention that his car, his brother, or some other buddy's of ours also never worked right. i do have one friend though that has no problems with his starting. so is this a common problem when moving them, because i havent seen many people on here having problems with it starting.

right now i just have the battery grounded in the back of the car and the power cable ran from the solenoid up front, i havent hooked up the switch yet because it just came today. is there anything else i can do that might help it start if the ICM doesnt work. it isnt grounded to the motor anymore so could that be a problem?
