Clutch Problems..
Well i just bought a clutch a couple months ago..broke it in a good 450-500 miles and then started driving it harder. When the guy put my clutch in we had to turn my flywheel, well the clutch was always burning after i drove it. Maybe its me, but my dad who drives alot of race cars even drove it and said it drives fine and it was still burning. I have to push the clutch all the way to the ground to shift. Was wondering if anything else could be eating the clutches away.

RE: Clutch Problems..
You need an adjustable cable with firewall adjuster and quadrent. Easy to install and easy to adjust. I have an UPR I can adjust it to engage 3 inches down like 94 Gt said or have it close to the floor. i prefer halfway.

He doesn't necessarily NEED a firewall adjuster. Chances are the cable was overly tightend up when the new clutch was put in. I don't know about the 5.0 Stangs in particular but EVERY clutch cable has some sort of adjustment in it. Either above the pedal or at the tranny. Look for it, back it out a bit and you're done.

we have a built in auto-adjuster, its not worth a shat, but it works a little. push the pedal all the way down, then pull it all the way back up. you should hear a click. keep doing this until it doesn't click anymore. if it clicks more than 20-25 times, get a firewall adjustable cable, cuz its broke.
