pilot bearing trouble

Default pilot bearing trouble

i was tring to install a stage one clutch in my car and i got down to pulling the pilot bearing out, well i didnt have the tool and my book said i could put a socket slightly bigger than th ehole in thee and tap it in adn that would pull it out well, now its stripped and i have no way of getting it out and its stripped so bad from poeple trying to get it it has no lip on the back for the tool to grab anything, do es anyone know what else i could do to try and get it out thnx

u guys want to dremal a pilot bearing? wow u are brave, get some bearing grease (the red stuff) and a dowl that fits snugg in the hole of the pilot bearing and pack as much grease in there as u can and then use the dowl to puch it in farther, just keep adding grease untill the hole behind is filled, then put the dowl in and smack it a few times, add more grease hit with hammer again, repeatedly add grease and press it in with the dowl and hammer, this will take a while but will eventualy work the bearing out, the dowl has to be real snug or the grease will just leak out around it, u can also use wet paper towel.... after your done make sure to get asmuch od the grease out as u can or it will eventualy get worked toward the clutch dics if u leave to much grease in there

ive dremeled 2 of them, no problems

i've dremaled one out and it went fine, but i wouldn't suggest it to anyone just because you can mess things up if your not carefull... but the grease methodthe only thing that can get hurt it ur hand from the hammer or greas in your eye
