Default gasket thingy between the fly wheel and block

ok well i pulled the engine as u all may know... and clutch is off and all that but i was wondering if i needed to replace that gasket that goes between the engine and bellhousing... its behind the fly wheel so id have to take that off... how hard is it to take the fly wheel off... what is involved in puttin it bak on as well... also what is the gasket thing called becuse i can not find it on summit... its seems a lil rusted arounded the edges so i thot it would be best to replace it... input advice and answer are need

yea we are talking about the same thing... i dunno if i should reuse it or not... and if i dont reuse it i have to take the flywhell off and i dunno how to do that

its aluminum, they dont go "bad" just leave it alone if your not taking the flywheel off.

Yes its the block plate. If you have the clutch and everything off you might as well take the flywheel off (impact works if your by yourself). Then put in a new rear main seal as a precaution. If anything the plate just needs a little bit of cleaning.
