Well my dad seems to think that I can get the guy down to $800 so I might just go buy it when he comes back from vacation. The only really bad thing about the car is the red interior lol, but I guess i can deal with it...the seats are gonna have to go though..

Buy the car and if its strip only drop a 460 in it, they make a kit for like $800 jegs or Summit with long tube headers, motor mounts, oil pand and pickup for a fox. You can also stoke it , get heads, or nos and you'll always have them cubes

460 [sm=insomnia.gif]......damn son, that aint playin around lol..for the start of this one I'm just gonna run a 302 block, probably bored and stroked to a 331. Whenever i've outgrown the power i'm gonna put that engine in another fox and use a 351 block, lol and THEN maybe a 460 if thats not enough. I like the way you think though!! MORE CUBES=MORE FUN

Im surprised how many times the word "nos" is still tossed around.. especially on a Mustang forum... As far as the original post, if you are mechanically inclined, then go for it, youll end up paying 2500 plus for a 5.0L in bad shape with problems.. the swap isnt too hard, especially if its a track only car...

you got like 2 of the three steps for your strip car already done, just drop a motor and go. sounds like an awsome deal to me.
