first of all you have to know what you are doing. you cant be in a 96 gt and think "aw ive got intake and exhaust dude i could run 13's now" comment like that of a civic owner. hahahaha anyway those list of mods are mostly parts that either let the car breathe/run easier well most of them are just that, except for gears and tires and suspension, and also those small parts are cavities in the car that ford just didnt squeeze those extra couple of horsepower out of. but if the supercharger was the only performance mod available and everyone could go really fast, then how fun would modding a car really be? its what you can get out of the smaller parts that eventually leads to the big picture of whatever you want your car to do. Besides alot of times the younger crowd can only afford the smaller less expensive partand that extra power you can feel out of that 300$ part you just bought is sometimes more satisfying than a BJ, well almost. But its not that its easy to run 12's or that everyone can just do it, its just that supercharging is kinda like an expensive way to skip a hundred small steps to getting a N/A engine to run 12's. correct me if anything's wrong guys.
but its just that feeling of a little extra power out of a part i just bought, was my motivation for all the hundreds of $ that have gone into my stangs.

if I remember the article in MM&FF correctly, that 10 sec pass was made with 19 lbs of boost, which is a hell of a lot of boost! and the driver was a very experienced drag racer who knew how to get the most out of the car too. and he had a suspension set-up that let him get the power down to the ground very efficiently also.
