Default sluggish throttle

Hey guys I just took my stang out for what I think will be the last time until spring. I just noticed that when I would punch the throttle at about 50 to55 mph it was very sluggish meaning it was hesitating for about 3 seconds and then it would take off. It seemed like it was almost starving for gas and then it would take off. My TPI is set at 97 and I'm not having a problem from take off just when I'm going 30 mph or over. I never had this problem before. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thankyou in advance

Yes, I would check the easy things like your fuel filter, if that's okay, check fuel pressure, and go from there.

So far I've replaced the fuel filter, tps, all the injectors and the fuel regulator. Would I still be having that problem when I'm idling because there is plenty of snap it just doesn't seem to have it when i'm going over 30? Could it be something to do with the kick down cable or not? Thanks for the input!!

i know i have a 4.6l and all but i'm having the exact same problem.... it idles and takes off great from 1st gear but then it's all down hill when i'm in 2nd-5th gear, feels like a wave of studders like the car is fuel starved.... my only guess left is to check the fuel pressure, i'm pretty sure thats with wrong with mine i just need to get a guage and see

when's the last time you did a basic tune-up with new spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor, fuel filter, air filter, etc.???
this is where you should start unless all this is relatively new.

I've replaced all of those including the dist. cap, plugs, wires, rotor, coil, fuel filter, fuel regulator, fuel injectors, and all vaccum lines. It seemed like it happened after I took the upper manifold off to replace the injectors but I know I put everything back together the right way including a new manifold gasket. I just can't figure it out!![&:]
