I was on www.americanmuscle.com and noticed this section:

It says there were two 5.0 engines made, one with 215HP and another with 240HP. I haven't seen this before. Where did they get this from?

Maybe the Cobra motor.

From 87-92 the 5.0 was rated at 225hp. The 93 was downrated to 205hp. The 5.0 wasnt 215hp until 94. there was a 240hp for 94 also which was for the Cobra.

No such thing in 87. Unless it was some sort of tuner car. But all factory GT's were rated 225hp.

There was a limited number of Saleens that were run, but I thought that was more just suspension work. Weird.

I know that the cobras were made only starting in '93, I thought that he was just generally talking about 5.0 HO motors though, my bad . The saleens had a few different motor parts, the only one that I can think of is the Saleen 5.0 HO intake.

Just so nobody gets confused, it was a styling package in the late 70s and then againin the early 80s.
