i have them on my stock hood, the previous owner had the hood fly up 3 or 4 different times, ruined the cowl windshield and roof of the car. all fixed now but im not taking a chance with it. the bar in the front of the car next to the radiator is bent a little and so my latch doesnt always work the best and the saftey latch or whatever its called usually won't hood either. no way im taking a chance on ruining all the work i did to fix it.
