85,000 miles, i ordered the obdi scan tool but it still hasn't came either i was just trying to get an idea of where to start and what the problem seems to be linked to. if it is a sensor , fuel, clogged cats, or whatever. thanks for the ideas. i was thinking fuel pump because i live in Arizona and it really started to have the idle problems and the choking or cutting out when i let off the gas when it got hot outside the hotter the day the sooner it does it and the worse.

However,
I have never seen MAF cleaner in a parts store...
And if MAF cleaner is simply re-packaged 'electronics' cleaner then it is EXACTLY the same chemical as the chlorinated Brake Cleaner.
Chlorinated Brake Cleaners are Tetrachloroethylene
The 'Electronics' cleaners I have found are the same chemical.
Another reason I like brake cleaner is that it sprays with a fair amount of pressure.
Just don't get it on your safety glasses [:'(]

They carry it at NAPA and Auto Zone here. never actually checked to see what was in it though. But it does have that "brake cleaner" feel when you spray it on your hands.

I'm an idiot i have been driving my car around for like 8 months with it running like ****. I cleaned the maf and i finally know what the back of my seat feels like. Good, really good. Hopefully it will solve the idling problems too.

Dont know if this was suggested or not. But have you completely reset the computer after you installed it? Youd be amazed at how easily these computers get confused with new parts. Disconnect the battery and pump the brake pedal to drain any remaining energy out of the computer. Reconnect the battery and see if it helps.

It is completely stock 95 cobra the plugs wires cap rotor are all pretty new less than 10k on them. Can i use carb cleaner to clean the maf. I have seen posts that to use carb cleaner and posts that say not to and to use sensor safe electronic cleaner.
