AHH wiring help needed very badly
Ok so on my notch I have a 89 harness in the beast since htelast owner hacked up the harness I decided to take the whole harness out of a parts car and throw in it. Everything works like heater, wiper, turn signals. The only problem I have is that I have no parking lights what so ever! I have regular headlights but no parking lights!! it has me baffled since I have turn signals and 4 ways but no parking lights. Im calling it quits for tonight before I kill it and want to start fresh tommrow so any help that is givin over the night is much appreciated!!

Make sure you have power coming from the parking light switch, and or the fuse, and see if you can trace how far the power goes...also, double check any grounds wires for the parking lights.

does the relay click for the park lamps also or just the lights, you may just want to put a new fused line in from the park light switch to the parking lamp feed if everything else is working properly, unless you can trck down the main wire and find out if you have a short, or an open in the wire, recheck your connections real well and again the grounds. I will see if I have an electrical diagram for you.

ok so I have power going to the switch then from the switch to the relay and to the dimmer for the dash but I have no juice out to the lights, If i run a jumper wire to the headlight harness, I have parking lights ahh its getting frustrating!

There may be a bad fuseable link that is bad. you can either start searching from the park lamps on back or run a new wire to the main parking light wire if you can not find your problem, if you do that, I would suggest you put a fuse in line.

Thats why I was telling you to locate the main wire that should feed all the parking lamps, not just one of the parking lamps. Much harder to probably located, but it should power all you parking lights.
