Default whats easier

For changing the oil pan, pulling the motor out or using a lift to hold the motor and just drop the k-member and not have to tinkle with the tranny ect.

I lifted the motor a few inches and unbolted the tranny from its cross member. This required very little disassembly but still took a while to wrestle the pan out.

k-member doesn't have to come out. hoist the motor up 3 or 4 inches, unbolt the pan, then unbolt the pickup from the oil pump. while doing this dont forget that the pickup has a hanger bolt on the #3 maincap.

If your putting in a different oil pan thats has deeper sumps i'm not sure if will fit using this method. I could barely pull the stock piece out.
