Default shortys or long tubes?

whats everyones opinions on them, i was thinking of BBK long tubes, is the power difference worth the extra money

as of nowonly cai and custom off road h-pipe but im going with a 255 lph fuel pump,underdrive pulleys, mass air conversion, getting a bbk x-pipe and eventually h/c/i

also another queston, what size throttle body and mass air meter would you suggest when i do the mass air conversion, im thinking 70mm

whats the difference in shortys and long tubes my 85 is all stock and buddie is trying to sell me some long tubes for it thats he has had laying round for long time but i dont know if want them or not he also has shorty's but ***** dont wanna sell those lol

I like my shorties, they also make equal lengths. It keeps tranny work simple also and its also easier to install the shorties, however the people with longtubes seem to love them

long tube 1 5/8' primaries with 2 1/2" collectors.... the whole long tubes loose low end junk is a myth. yeah.. bellow 1800-2k rpm you may loose a lil tq.. but from there up is all a gain.. and really,who ever is under 2k rpm in our cars?
