Adder, I would rather have MM than some ebay stuff, but that is just me. Personally have never had a problem with their gear and I have a lot of it on my car.

i'll agree MM is overpriced, but it's good stuff,i get alot of things from ebay, now a clutch cable prolly wouldn't do that but, i got mine from steeda, cable, double hook quadrent and firewall adjuster 105$ (IIRC)

how is the pedal pressure on the steeda and the MM quadrant kits? I installed a BBK on my 89 and it was very hard to push the pedal down.

ORIGINAL: Black95MustangGT

im about to buy a kit myself, my old stuff keeps burning the clutches out!

try the steeda clutch quadrant kit for like 100, im pretty sure its 100 on steedaperformance.com

blac95 how was it burning them up, was the cable not allowing it to disengage all the wayand causing theclutch to stay engaged slightly?

With the MM kit my clutch pedal engagement is smooth as butter, whereas with the old D&D kit it felt hard as a rock sometimes and other times it was mushy; overall it just didnt have a good feel to it. The latter was assured to me when the cable snapped in stop and go traffic on a hot 115 degree summer day. Fun fun let me tell you.

Since I installed the MM kit 3 years ago I have had not one bit of trouble with the clutch and dont expect any in the near future.

Yah, my BBK cable felt like crap for a long time. The engagement changes depending on how hot the engine is. When its a hot day and im sitting in traffic, the engagement is almost to the floor. That and it felt really ...unconsistent. Like there were spots where it would be harder, and then it would get really easy to push, then a few centimeters it would get harder again. Like pushing the lever of an automatic transmission into different notches. It was also stiff as hell. That all went away, except for the changing engagement point, after i had the clutch replaced and drove it for a while, and now it feels about the same as stock. Still, would definently NOT recomend that kit to anyone.
