Default Hard start..

I have a 94 5.0 that sometime starts hard. When I go to start the car it starts fine, then I shut it down and try a restartand itwant turn over. I wait for about a half hour then try it again and it fires right up. I have replaced the fuel pump and have had the fuel pump and fuel pressure regulater tested and the pressure is fine. What else can I try?????

Yes I put it in, and then it work fine started up for a couple of days then back to not starting. I notice that when I filled up with gas the gasket or called by ford the filter neck garment was leaking. Then I replace that and it didn't fix the problem. For thetubes they look fine not leaking.

Since you have already tried fuel pump, sounds liek it is definitely the TFI or ignition module. On your car its on the passenger side by the airbox. If you replace the TFI and it still does it, the stator (profile ignition pickup) in the distributor has gone bad and needs replacing. I just went through this on my '92 and replaced EVERYTHING ignition related including the stator, but I guess I got a bad one from the parts store because a buddies distributor solved the problem.

Do anybody think if I take my car to FORD and have them Diagnostics test using their computer they could pin point the problem. I can do the work I just don't want to replace parts that are in working condition?
