I just replaced both front wheel bearings on my 86 GT, that stopped my whining noise.

It could be the fan belt or maybe a bad u-joint?Once I had a noise that I thought was coming from the front bad it turned out to be a bad u-joint on the driveshaft.................

My 07 GT has about 600 miles on it, I noticed yesterday while turning and slowing to a stop to back up there seemed to be a horrible noise. I shook it off since there was a busted truck driving by.This morning after getting to work i turned off everything A/C radio, to see if i heard the same noise. It happened again, it sounds like a grinding noise but i can only hear it when the wheels are turned. Any ideas on what to check I would be grateful.

Are you sure it's not something really simple like worn break pads? I had a similar problem when I first got my Mustang. Turns out the brake dust shield had bent and was rubbing against the side of my rotor. It took about 3 seconds to fix it.

It should take all of 30 seconds totla to check both of those and it's free to check and can be free to fix (sometimes.) Why not look there first before you start looking at more expensive parts.

I hada case with my previous car, a Mazda where it had a squeaking noise while your braking. I checked it out and it had dust and tiny particles that causes the noise. I washed it off and put a Mazda brake dust shield. Also check on some damage on the bearings. I loved that car but little bro wants it badly so I had to gave it away. It had a faulty Mazdastrut and glad he was the one who paid for the replacement.
