Default Clutch goin out?

Seems like today I noticed my car is chattering some when first starting out from a light or something from a dead stop. It also seems like when I get on it hard it makes all the noise, but doesn't seem to be goin as fast as it should for how much noise it's makin. Almost seems like the clutch is starting to slip or somethin I dunno. Any Ideas?

Could be the clutch slipping. Could be a bad throwout bearing too.

probably so..look at the rpms when you are flooring it, most of the time it will slip in 2nd gear or so, 1st gear in my car right now is fine and my clutch is going.

flywheel is prolly about glazed over. i would suggest changing whole clutch set and flywheel if you change the clutch because if your gonna go that far go ahead andreplace it all including the pilot bearing and bushing. if you dont have a slide hammer for the pilot bushing puller you will need one and they are expensive so holler at me and i will help you make a homade one out of pipe thats what i did last week.

first try adjusting your clutch, stick your foot under the pedal and pull up till it clicks then push it back down to the floor. repeat that about 5-8 times. after doing that get on the road and put it in 3rd gear at about 2k rpm and just hammer the gas. if the rpm's just up and the car is just making a lot of noise and takes a while to catch up with itself you clutch is toast

put it in 5th, at like 45-50mph... and go from no throttle to WOT see if the rpms climb and watch the speed... youll know if its slipping or not then...

also that way to adj the clutch doenst always work, they get warn out... if it doesnt i no how to work it anyway
