ORIGINAL: nrs91gt

I have a mac off road h that fit to the stock headers fine
I got my BBK O/R X months before my BBK shorties and they fit fine with the stock headers too. I'm not trying to turn you away from these headers, just giving you a little heads up on on the situation I had. Grab them and enjoy

Yeah, i'd pick them up. I have BBK Shorty Headers with BBK o/r H-Pipe and Flowmaster 40 Series dumped. It sounds great, and the headers seemed to give my car a kick in the *** once they were on. Thats a good price too.

thats the same setup i want to get. bbk shorty headers, bbk o/r hpipe, and flowmaster 40s, i dont care if alot of people have it or not, i just want that because ive heard it and it sounds pretty nice. As soon as i get some nice tires im gonna be saving up for that.

The only downside to those headers is that they will turn blue the first time you start your car. I had a set on my old car, and they really helped on the bottom end.

Default RE: bbk headers

hey im also looking into getting some bbk headers for my 92 lx vert..and i had some questions...Will the bbk equal length shorties fit withour any mods? right now i have stock exhaust manifolds, a bbk offroad h-pipe, and flowmaster 40's, and im just not sure which headers to get....cant decide between the shorties or the equal shorties, or the chrome or the ceramic coated...there is like a 100 dollar jump between the chrome and ceramic, so not being loaded im leaning towards the cheaper ones...any suggestions

I bought the bbkunequal length chrome shorties for $160 brand new from jegs. I didn't have any problem installing them to mybbk x-pipe, but the equal lenghts may be a different story. I suggest getting some better header gaskets because the paper ones come in the kit and they are really bad to leak.
