Default Fixing small crack in muffler

What is the best way to fix a small crack on the end of a muffler? I have a couple ideas in my head but want to hear some of your ideas, thanks

There's some stuff called Muffler Mender in any AutoZone. If not the exact stuff I'm sure they have an equivalent. Or, if you've got some JB weld lying around, it seems like that would do the trick...check on the temp limitations for it though, I'm not sure on that one.

is this a new system? i know i have seen stock mufflers that have little holes in the bottom to let the water drain out of them

Thanks for the idea bout the muffler mender, I was thinking of using the JB weld since i've heard of people using it to repair engine blocks.

The system is not new, it's definitely not a drain hole.

i dont know how the lawa are in new york... but here in NH any temp fixing stuff like that muffler patching stuff and jb weld on them is illegal and will not pass a saftey inspection.. Just my $.02 but i would bring it to a welding shop and have them run a bead of weld on the crack. cant be that expensive and it's a permanint fix.
