so some f150's, thunderbirds, cougers and sn95s all have a 3g 120 amp alt. Which thunderbirds have it? Im goin crazy on the junkyard parts lately and ill be going back in a few days to get some more stuff and figured id pick this up when i go. There are mainly 4.6 thunderbirds there do they have them?

first of all your not looking for 3G 120 AMP, your wanting a 135 amp .

Go to a taurus with a 3,8 liter v-6 1991-1994, thunderbird, 1991-1993 and vans, the swap is simple the alternators are very easy to spot. You dont want anything off of a 4.6 liter. I will tell you, your gonna end up using your own nuts and bolts for this and a 4gu, battery cable/amp wire.

i miss typed and it says on all the replacement alt sites that they come with 130 amp not 135 but they could be wrong,

I got mine from a 94 v6 for 35$ I used 4 guage power with a 150 amp waffer fuse, and a 4 gauge ground

u make it sound easy, ive been reading some of those tech articles about it and they make it sound like you have to have 100 bux in wires, connectors and plugs... i hope its as easy as u say cause im a retard when it comes to electrical sh*t

its cake walk man trust me I suck with wires also, one thing the stickies dont mention is not using the 2 orange and black power wires, if you run them you have the risk of starting a fire under the hood, I disconnected mine and the car runs just fine.
