$10,000 in the engine?!
Yup, $10,000 in the engine. Oh, I forgot to mention. When he was gonig on about his Trickflow intake, he said, "That's $2,000 by itself." That was another indicator that he either was full of **** or really had no clue. $2,000 for a street heat intake? hell you can get the whole top end kit from Trickflow for just over $2,000. That's intake, heads, cam, gaskets, etc.

I would love to get to race this guy though... well if he car ever runs again, lol. If he really thinks that he has 600 HP, imagine what he would think when I absolutely owned him without any effort at all.

Well considering that his car is borderline totaled... I doubt he'll be putting any track time in anytime soon

Since we are on the subject...A few months back me and my ol lady were out at a buddies place and some guy pulled up in a ragged out 5.0...looked like poo...anyways, me being a mustang guy I started talking to him about his car and asked what he had done to it. He like yeah, I got true duals, some headers and a now 306. I was like cool, he had no idea I know anything about mustangs, so then I asked him if he had ever had it to the track before and he says yeah....I ran at 110 in the quarter. I was like really?? What else do you have done..heads or intake?? Slicks? He was like no, all stock on street tires. I was like wow, you car will kick my cars ***...mine only runs a slow 105mph....long story short, he was a interesting fella...musta had a civic before the stang

You should have asked him for advice on yourcarandthen listen towhat he had to say. I could just hear it now... him, "Yeah I've got 600 hp with the stocks heads, just a cam and an intake" you "Damn! then maybe you can help me out! I've only got a blower and nitrous and I've got around 430 rwhp, can you tell me what I'm doing wrong" him, "Ummm... UHHHHHH... what kind of stickers are you using?"

Yeah. I'm starting to feel really bad for the guy. The car had about 93k miles on it. not bad at all for the year. And it looked like it as in great shape before the incident. It was nice and had some nice mods. Not as good as he thought but still quite nice. I didn't have the heart to correct him on anything.
