Comp is dead?

So I just got my 306 built and installed and did a maf conversion. I got this comp from a junkyard, I went to start my car and my starter solenoid isn't getting a signal. I ran a key off test and no error codes came up. The fuel pump relay comes on, everything else works. Can the computer be dead, any other tests? It is irritating me that my solenoid is keeping me from starting my car. HELP!

the signal comes from the key, not the computer. broken wire?
