Pro Comp Aluminum Head

I have been watching several auctions on ebay on those Pro Comp Aluminum heads. Can they be bolted on with the smaller 302 studs even if they have 1/2" mounting holes. I read something about some kind of spacer or sleeve for the studs. And also, does anyone know what kind of headers bolts up to them. I guess what I am asking is can I just get a set of long tubes for a regular 302 head. I had 1 3/4" long tube macs on my last fox body. they performed like a mofo, but were such a great pain in my butt if any maintnance was needed to be done, like pull the starter meant pulling the engine half way outta the car to get it in and out. Think I'm gonna go with 1 5/8" this time. What do ya'll think? I haven't been able to find any good literature online about them and there aren't any guys around my house running a pair of them. Is there anyone here that runs a set, if so what size are you running?

yes there is a 7/16" to 1/2" bushing reduceryou use.

as far as ythose specific heads i know nothing about them.

intake valve size should be 1.9, if they are 2.02 you need to watch cam lift and may need to notch your pistons

all i can think of to be concerned with

Read this and then decide if it's what you want to do or not.

dont know that much about them. but i did buy a set and when i got them they casting wasnt that great. there was need for alot of hand work. when they were doing the valve job they went in to far and put a lip/step in it. so you would have to take that down buy hand so your flow doesnt get screwed up

heard nothing good about the Pro-comp crap

recommend RHS, mo better.

APR sells bolts with tapered ends to mount 351 style heads on a 302.
