Default stock intake manifold

is there anything you can do to the stock intake manifold w/o taking it to the machine shop to port and polish??? i want an aftermarket one but don't have the money yet, i've 100 percent cleaned all the carbon out and was wondering if there was just anything I COULD DO to squeeze another pony out of the intake

if your going to port the heads on the car its simple make sure what ever cyl your working on is at tdc before you start make sure port is clean and dry that way metal wont stick and when your done just blow it out make sure u have all other ports taped off while working and how ever you want to match port them you just want your intake to have no lips just nice constant flow and you dont have to polish the intake that much it is not that important
