I know this has been run into the ground and yes i tried the search function. Yet again its dissipointing!!! I went to the junkyard to get supplies for the 3g alternator swap. I got my alternator from a 3.8 1991 FORD TAURUS. From what I have read you can use any of the 90's model taurus's. The alternator did not fit and yes i did grind out the bracket. The mounting holes werent even close. Are there different kinds to get or something. I need some help guys Thanks im going back in the moning to try and find the right one.

was the top mounting whole for the alternator to large for the bracket?

They werent far enough apart to fit the alternator holes.

odd, I never saw how anyone thought the tauras ones would work anyways, they never looked right.. I got mine from a 94 v6 if that helps any

A 94 v6 what? Im gonna go tommorow and pull alternators until I find one that fits in the stock bracket minus the grinding of it.

I think you need the alternator from a 94+ Mustang, not taurus. The electric fan swap comes from the taurus.

ya, i always thought it was the mustang also. never heard of a taurus alt working.

Yeah if i get the alternator in it i will get a video of it. Xcam does sound bad ***.
