[sm=americanasmiley.gif]yup, i got my old 94 bone stock 5 spd vert to 143 and i almost crapped in my pants that was the last time i tried to top it out but i still had room to go...you guys in the foxs must be a little loco imo to go that fast in stock suspension but hey i did it too i was 17 lol im a little more cautious now but my foot is still made of lead!

in my 85 i went through 3rd and 5k in 4th with 2.73 so i would guess 125-130? anyways do the headlight covers really play that big ofa part?

Why are the new mustangslimited to 140 mph? I mean that 99-04 mustangs were at 160 and the 94-98 were at 150.Even the GT500 is also 140 limited.Can someone explain why?

I was racing an RSX type-S we were right beside each other. My speedo onty goes up to 180km. I talk to buddie afterward he said he was going 240km then he let off he was staring to get scared.My car was float abit but not much, I still had more to. Still dont know top speed yet.

Many years back when I bought my 89 (brand new)I set out to find the top speed. Back then, I would find the top speed on everything I owned, cars, crotch rockets ,etc.( Someone upstairs was watching out for me :-) What can I say, I was young and stupid. Anyway, it took it a long time , but eventuallyitpassed the 140 by about 3/4 of an inch (who knows what the speed error was at that point). That was when the windshield wipers floated up off the windshield[sm=jawdrop.gif] I just about ****! Nothing but wind noise at that pointand the car was VERY unstable. I remember the car was pretty stable until it hit 130 - 135mph.

My stock mustang hadits speed limited to 125-128 in the EEC. In my '90LX I have I been north of 145 after I had the computer chipped.
