RE: AOD question, will not shift to OD till 90mph
This is something I haven't had to do before because as I said before, I have the AODE. I use my Laptop computer to change my shift points. Your tranny shift points are mechanical so it's not as easy. I think you may have to take it somewhere to have them make the adjustments in teh valvebody but I cant say for sure. I 'm not sure messing with the TV cable will make a big enough difference if it's really that bad.
Lemme look into it for ya.

Could be the TV cable is out of adjustment. This will change the shiftpoints and "kickdown" characteristics of the tranny also. If you don't have it set at the proper pressure, it will damage the tranny.

I just thought I'd throw that out there because it's easy for him to check and rule out as a problem. His case does sound a little extreme though. If you want to check it, I need to know the year of the car and the year of the tranny, so I can tell you how to do it.
