I already checked the tech article just had a few questions.

Just wanted to double check to see if the 2.3l v4 t-5 is the same as the 5.0l t-5. Obviously I would have the change out the bellhousing but is the core the same? Also is 400 for a used t-5 a good deal? I want to get this and have it rebuilt. On that note I would like to use higher performace stuff, any recommendations on kits that can hold 450-500hp? Thanks again.

400 on a used t-5 isn't a terrable deal but it's not a good deal either, i deal alot with t-5's.... the 4 cylinder tranny has shorter gears in to and won't take as much power because of that fact... i can get a tranny from a yard and rebuild it for you for prolly 800 ish
