spend $16 on autolites and then take the other $20 you saved by not going ridium and buy a new distrib cap and rotor that you probably need to change anyway..

yup i got some autolites today at a NAPA near by.i took the plugs out that i have now and they were bousche platinum plugs and they were pretty much at there end of there life. can bad plugs cause mis-fire?there like 3$ CDN a peice. also what kind of distrib cap and rotor do i need. also has anyone ever herd of tyler performance wires?

Yes, bad plugs can cause misfires and detonation (severe carbon build up on the plug superheats and goes off before the actualy spark causes the explosion in the chamber).

For dist cap and rotor you want the ones with the brass inserts in them (yellow contacts) They last longer and less prone to pitting than the silver (aluminum) ones. Borg Warner I believe makes affordable caps/rotors that have brass inserts.

MSD also makes them. you could always use a cheap accel cap and rotor. worked on my t-bird withthe 5.0 for almost 3 years.

alright i think i got everything figured out then. theres only one thing. i tried taking some plugs out and well um it kinda a pita. if your standing infront of the car the driver side of the block seems easy enough. just the passenger side looks like a PITA. and tips or ticks on hoe to remove them, especially the plug in the number 4 cylinder
