i have hardly worked on cars before. when i was in highschool i took tons! of auto classes and got little time hands on, it was all text book stuff. completely different let me tell you. but workin on your own car is soooooooooooooo much cheaper you have no idea. if you have basic tools and an area to work on your car take advantage of it. workin on these cars are really not too bad, you just cant get frustrated and just take your time. if you dont know, ask ?'s. buy a chilton. just get all the information and i promise you wont have any issues workin on your car. plus its that much more satisfying when you actually do something yourself.

actually this really isnt going to be much of a debate. It is simplier in general to work on a fox body then it is on 95+

If he had said 94 or 95 then it would have opened up a debate. But 1996 brought a LOT of big changes. Not only is it more difficult, but it is usually a lot more expensive to mod the 96+ models. I think nearly everyone will agree that a 5.0 fox is a LOT easier to work on yourself when compared to a 4.6 SN95.

i know i can have the motor out of my 89 model in about 3 hours
i took the motor out a 2004 model, and i found out it was just easier too pull the motor and transmission, at the same time.
that job took a while longer because all of the bull crap, and the wider heads on it. no room at all.
