80mm mass air

if i bought the mass air housing from an 98 cobra which is 80mm. Couldnt i just take out the mass air sensor and put it on the 80mm housing. i currently have the 70mm cobra mass air that is set for 24lbs injectors because i have the 93 cobra computer also.

if i cant then why does c&l just sell housings, but they give you different size sample tubes and you have to use your own sensor. wouldnt that be the samething as getting a housing from a newer mustang.

different sized sample than what the computer is use to seeing. get it calibrated and it will work. otherwise, no it wont work just switching the sample tube with a new sensor wont work.
