Default Trying to remove 5 speed

Hello everyone, this is my first post to mustang forums. I just got a 92 5.0 for a real good deal but it needs a clutch. Me and my friend tried to change the clutch, but when trying to remove the top 2 bolts of the transmission near the firewall we had no access. We used 2 extensions but it would twist but the bolt wouldnt move. Is there a special tool for that spot? And any other helpful tips on removing the bellhousing or just completing the job would be great. Thanks!!

you might be able to reach those bolts from inside the engine bay

drop the crossmember and lower the tranny down so you can get a straight shot at the bolts - an impact would be helpful, The longer the extension the harder its gonna be to get em loose. an impact would be verry helpful. maybe you can take the tranny off the bellhousing for more room.

YEah get a dedicated cutter on that biotch! No, but seriously, why can't you take the tranny off the bellhousing so you can get closer to the bellhousing bolts with less extensions?

I always just loosen the Motor mounts and drop the *** of the tranny. Makes it alot easier
