Default accufab vs mac TB???

ive been shoppin around to be a new throttle body fo rmy 5.0... ive noticed that mac is around 100$ cheaper depending on where ur lookin... will there be a power difference between the 2 brands? thx for the info, and btw.. can anyone tell me weither i should go w/ 65mm or 70mm TB, w/ the mods below.... was leaning more towards 70mm. any input would be great , thx

Well.... I've never seen a comparison dyno between throttlebodies (only plenums)... so I wouldn't know what difference their would be other than quality and finish (Accufab is polished). If I had pics of the two I could easily see the differences... I know what Accufab looks like but not the Mac.

Looking at it, it looks as though the thottle blade screws protrude more on the Mac, can't see the back or it or it open to tell if any area around the blade is tapered but it doesn't look like it... I'd say odds are the Accufab will flow better - but odds are you won't ever tell the difference.

im planning on further mods... wut i want soon is CAI, new MAF, and upper / lower intake... gonna try and bolt all those on at same time w/ the TB... would u say 70mm or 65mm would those and wut i currently have on? thx for helping me out MD

You know whats funny? They did a dyno test on all the plenums with a 75 mm throttle body and a vortech supercharger, and of course the Accufab did the best job. But then they tested the accufab plenum with a 70mm throttle body and it produced MORE power and torque than the 75...

As for you, a 70mm will do you just right.
