Water temp
Hellos peoples, whell heres my problem. My 89' 5.0 is hitting 235 F after about 15 minutes of cruising at around 50. I have been told a few different temeratures that my car SHOULD be at but they all ranged from 170 to 210. My stanghas a flow master exaust, a E chip, a off road H pipe, and the thing on the bottom of the car was taken of that makes it that it wont pass admissions because of air polution (bare with me i forgot the name of it). So it is basicly stock compared to many of the other stangs I have seen out there, now if you cant tell me what it should be running atjot downwhat your car is running at... Tomorrow I am going to try changeing the termostat incase its sticking.

I posted on the water temp subject last week. Check out my post , as far as I could tell the average temp is supposed to be 180-190. I have also asked some of the people I buy stang parts from and they agreed with those numbers. They said they wouldn't worry until it was getting around 210 or more. So I'de check my thermostat and water pump if i were you. Maybe the radiator too

how many miles on that water pump and thermostat? The easiest way is to just go ahead and replace both it doesnt take that long and is realitivly easy. check all of your hoses for leaks. </P>
