PRO-5.0

Whats goin on people I own a 1993 Mustang GT its pretty stock I got a king cobra clutch, ford racing headers, and an exhaust that is pretty much it OHH and a pair of 15x10 Weld DL out back. I was wondering, do any of you all use a PRO-5.0 Shifter? is it good for daily use?, Does the shifter have springs like the stock shifter?(it relocates the shifter between 3rd and 4th by itself) And id you do have this shifter did it improve your time at the 1/4?

I used to have one before I bought the tko and it was probably the best beginner mod, I definetly suggest getting one, and just a FYI all aftermarket shifters have a self centering springs

Ya, They work good they put the car into gear alot quicker than the stock shifter would.(that's why they call it a shory shifter less movement to get it into gear )Not as much loose play in the shifter and it locks it into the gears really nice.I never missed third gear with this shifter yet! Very nice upgrade and to me was well worth the money. It should improve you time alittle in a 1/4 mile?and is fine for daily use..................

I would go with something a little bit more rugged... like atleast the B&M ripper, or Hurst pro Billet.

I snapped a pro 5.0 in half because I shift like a gorilla

Idrove with astock shifter until last year when I replaced it with a Pro 5.0. It was probably one of the best improvements I have done. I mean it felt like an entirely new car. No more searching for third or missing it entirely on power shifts. It just clicks into gear now, so my stoplight grand prix' are much more productive.

RE: PRO-5.0

Installed my MGW T-5 shifter today. What a difference from stock. It locks into each gear and doesn't vibrate at all. Its nearly impossible to miss a gear, especially 3rd/4th. I set the shift stops but am wondering if it is necessary or should I remove them. I know the tremec 3650 tranny has internal stops but I have the T5. Anyone else with a sn95 and MGW shifter? Now I just need a new knob. Can anyone recommend one?
