All hurst shifters dont have a chrome handle, I have the billet plus and it has a black handle. I didnt like the shifter being further away, but got used to it. The easiest thing to do is find some people around you with different shifters and see what you like. Shifters are like cylinder heads, you'll get a million different answers

You need to look into the MGW. I've read a lot of info about it, and nothing bad has been said about it yet.

The second one is an original post from one of the first people to test it out. The guy who designed it also says alot about it in both of those links. You have to ignore the talk about the two different handles because they revised the design and have one that's in between (orange). Very interesting info.... (i read all 14 or whatever pages) I'm sold on it
