I need to take my 82 gt to the DMV for a vin inspection. The problem is that i put both doors off an 87 gt and the lady at DMV said that they need to see 2 vin's on the car. I know it has the dash and the door i took off, so i dont know where else it would have another vin cuz i think im gonna have to swap that door if i cant find one some where else..

OK i know that one on the dash but is there any like on engine compartment or anywhere else other than the dash and the door?

there are a sticker with a vin number on the door....but dmv goes by the one on the dash

mine has one(visibly) under the hood, both doors, the hatch, and on the windshield.

I know but the thing is I swaped my doors and they do have the sticker with the vin# on them, but im just trying to avoid changing the drivers door just for the inspection. The dmv said they do go by the one on the dash but they need to see at least 2 vin #'s on the car where ever they are.

on my gt it has it on the dash, both doors, the hatch and on the fenders under the hood.

never herd that the dash vin wasn't enough for dmv..but of corase our dmv think they are god
