Default Hiding a Monster in a Shoebox

What is the cheapest way to get a 351 to fit under a hood of an 88 Fox??? I can only see the drop mounts and then some sorta cowl hood....I want to avoid a new hood...keep it covert...sleeper style...but it looks like I will have to buy a new hood....unless you guys know of some way to hide a 351 under the hood of my mustang????

my suggestion would be to primer your entire car, and then get a black or white 3inch cowl hood. That will deffinately give you a sleeper look. Also dont forget mismatched rims, that always helps. Oh and if you randomly have 1 window tinted or broken, that might also help too.

ah well then in that case im useless, but dont quote me on this, i do believe i read a thread stating a 351 would fit in a fox body with the stock hood. I will check for that link.

Wait until a little later, there are a few people on the site who have made it happen, I think they put in a different k member that was a little lower or something like that, I think it also depends on what intake you use.

92 has a point. I would never expect a car with mismatched rims and primer to out run me. I'd actually be dam pissed if that happened. Beating somebody is one thing, but total humiliation is FUKIN AWESOME!

I think the fit will be very close. If you run a carb or a spacer for an intake, you are going to need a new hood. But I think you can get away with a 2" cowl. There will be some others on here that have done what you are looking at, wait on them to chime in.
