Default Any ideas

Ford 31 spline HD carrier with carbon fiber clutchs and 7/8 cross pin Superior 31 spline axles ford 3.55 gears. As you can see by these horrible pictures the cross pin is hitting the axles. If anyone has any ideas or has run into this before please let me know before i think of things on my own that i know are only going to cause more problems. Thanks guys

Do you have the axles pulled all the way out? If so you can get a notched cross pin but I think you might have to put on some c-clip elimators to run one.

I just swaped out mine, the same carrier as you, but I used Alloy brand axles. Had no problems.

Also as already mentioned, after slipping the c-clips on, did you pull out on the axles to seat the clips inside the the side gear?

Can't do it that way. The pin is designed to keep the axles from moving inward enough so the clips can't come out.

i think you need to look at things again, taken apart. if everything you bought was made for an 8.8 mustang, it should all fit without modifications.
