Default getting ready to install these need advice

Ok i dont wanna spend money twice so i need advice. I just bought a trickflow stage 1 cam all gaskets and whatnot cause im replacing head gasket its leaking and a set of bbk headers. Is there anything you think i should do while i have this apart so 1 month from now im not like dang i need to do that and tear it back down?!? thanks

I would do lifters as well, and valve springs if they have any miles on them...they won't like the extra lift if their tired.

how much are a decent set of lifters? just curious think i should replace pushrods as well?

i just bought some lifters ford racing from summit 122.95. better to change them when u have it torn down..

50resto has the Ford Racing set of lifters for $109.00...but I would much rather do business with Summit. Summit has free shipping, plus they guarantee the lowest price.

I simply called Summit, gave them 50resto price...and they beat it by a buck!


Also, while the heads are off...might as well bring it to have a valve job done. They will inspect everything, clean it up...replace the seals...and should cost less than $100
