doubtfull..... because you would have the problem in the upper R's, not lower idle... u gotta adjustable regulator?.... if you got 10 bucks, get the temp sensor that communicats with the ECU, its like a 10 - 15 minute change.... might not solve pro, but hey its only a few bucks.... im having the same problem your having right now.... my car starts up great and idles for like the first 5 minutes, utnil the temp gauges gets quarter way or so and car gets a lil warm, then when i give it gas and let off... it idles irratic and most of the time just dies......... i was gonna change that temp sensor just coz i seen what mine looked like when i swaped intakes, and it looks bad.... also i think i might have vaccume leak on some of the holes i pluged up on intake, but doubt it.. did you search for vacc leaks yet? if not get a can of carb cleaner and spray all around your intake and vaccume lines, and see if your idle will chance at all (if it will idle)

Thanks for the input. Where is the temp sensor located?

on the intake manifold..... follow the hoses from your water pump, the go into a set of metal tubes that run long the intake to the back of the engine to the heater core, well at the front area of the intake there will be a sensor with a wire... thats the one, if your going to do it drain a lil bit of coolant from the radiator and it might not flow out of the hole

I'll look at that tomorrow. I better go get my manual from my buddy's garage. My car has been running pretty warm lately, could that be the reason? Or is it that I have done too much and need a cool thermostat?

P.S.
As a simple part-time fix, I upped my idle to 900rpms. It still tries to die, but it's high enough that it doesn't.

OK, I think I have it figured out. I took an infrared heat sensor to my header primaries, and 2 of them were 40-80 degrees cooler than the others, so I think I have bad plugs and or wires. Have new MSD Superconductors in the mail now.
