Default Headers: worth the $$?

I have an 89 GT Convertible with 96k miles on it. It has a cold air intake, H-pipe and new piping all the way back. Other than that the engine is stock. I've been thinking about getting some headers for a little more juice and also to make it a little louder. It is worth the undertaking as for as bang-for-the-buck goes? I've been looking at MAC shortyceramic coated headers. Thanks foryour input.

sure. they help the engine exhale better.. the faster the motor exhales the spent gasses.. the faster it can inhale the fuel and air. i would look at BBK shorty ceramic coated ones.. the solid flange on them tends not to warp like the MAC'sdo.

I got BBK ceramic coated shorties, they are as beautiful as the day I bought em, which was a year ago. Fit fantastic.

Not exactly....I got BBK headers that I would have expected to fit up to my BBK mid pipe. They didnt bolt up 100% correctly. Don't get me wrong, they are on there pretty good, just not perfect. There is a tiny exhaust leak because of it but it is so small I doubt it hurts anything. If I remember in the morning I will take pictures to show exactly what I'm talking about since I'm having trouble explaining it with words, damn whisky[sm=alcoholic.gif]But yea, the BBK ceramics keep looking good. I say go for'em!
