Yup, right in the middle of the dash under the pad. If you need info on what colors are positive or negative and where they go to take the amp out, let me know and i'll PM you. I would post it now but i'm about to head to work, good luck man.

just like they said. When did ford switch from the common ground amplified systems? I think it was closer to 84 but I am not for sure. If it is not common ground and is an amplified system then there is an easy way to bypass it really similar to the way I did my 94 gt on page 2 of my sig. hit me up if you have any more questions, don't be afraid to visit us on the audio/video section.

no i dont want it bypassed but someone cut the connector that im sure goes to the amp and back to the speakers. on my 93 everyrthing goes to the amp then the amp out goes back to the speaker harness behind the stereo. im going straight into the speaker harness with some connectors i got at a bone yard, so i geuss i need to splice up stuff to the other connector thats cut off. thanks guys i got it figured out now

Put a nicer high end head unit in with good speakers and bypass the amp.. i have deffanitly noticed a better quality sound in my car since i bypassed the amp and with kenwood speakers and a pioneer premier head unit... i mean.. 21 year old amp technology isnt good for sound compared to what is made right now.

the factory amp is not very clean and you get better sound by going around it. There are two hrns's that go into the amp, on will look just like the hrns I point to on pg 2(but yours is behind the glove box). If you disconnect that hrns and get a ford 70-1770 hrns you can plug into that, pull it up to the radio location and use it for your speakers. Your amp has just been bypassed.
