Default gear drive

i was thinking of switching to gear drive instead of the regular timing chain setup. I just think the sound of a gear drive is bad a$$- are there any pro's or cons? thanx

i could be wrong but i read that gear drives arent legal or something? i must have misread because i dont see how more accurate timing would be a problem if you get a quiet version.

wow... never knew that... i might look into it... quit gear drive , sounds good....someone at this machine shop told me going from chain to gear can make the engine rev up quicker... is that true? and ya gear drive is illegal, but so is adding headers or anything... california state law (maybe all states)... CHP officer that i know was telling me that moding your car in any way is illegal.. even down to the suspension and what not... but i say hell with it... not like there going to arrest me lol.. what could they do?!? nothin really, i dont think.....

Again, it is like superchargers. Helical cut gearts=quiet, straight cut gears=loud.
