Watch out for new hybrids .....

Was watching special last nite on new high powered hybrids Lexus has coming out.

they operate like normal hybrid ( electric start and gas engine cruise )
but when you floor it , it engages both the electric and gas engine together
combining their horse power.

The danger for us is electric motors have INSTANT max torque and power.
no revving up to make power band, just BAM its there.

Those things are going to have serious low end launch power from
the electic motor.

New GS400 is advertising 438hp !!!!
and the GS300 was advertising 0-60 in 5.2 secs. on their 350hp car.

Ehh............nothing a good old pushrod can't handel.[8D]

In any since, that's a pretty wicked idea, now I'd like to figure out how we can make our cars hybrid, could you imagine a 350 rwhp 5.0 mustang that uses both gas and electricity, the launches and 1/4 mile times would be unreal. Probably would do 0-60 in about 4 seconds.

hurry hurry start mas modding rite now.. its our only hope!! lol.... no but really if you stock u dont have a chance in hell... u need full bolt ons and a h/c/i to keep up.... to beat it u would need a power adder s/c/ t/c nitrous or stroker..... ouch.... good thing is they are probably cost and arm and a leg

to motors just isnt fair tho... what if we had to 5.0s in out car... thats like a 10.0.... major hp there lol
