If you are using a single stage paint follow the mix ratios on the side of the can. If you are using a base/ clear system, you don not mix the base with the clear. You spray the basecoat on then after that drys you wet sand and then you apply the clear coat on top of that. ----- thats right

ok this is how it went down. i poured 250ml of base maker in a plastic container and then poured 250ml of the paint in the container. then i mixed it back and forth in another container. then i poured it into the gun. then i was gonna see how it came out on the bumper first. so i sprayed it and it wasnt a full line of color. it was like a blochy area. like if you open up paint on omputer and get the spray can and make it big then spray it was like that. then i went and decided ill see how it looks on the rest of the car. so i painte the doors and stuff and it was the same so i went over it a couple of times and it got like it was more of a orange full color but then it started to make runs like crazy.

A lot of times a color has to be "built" up by making a couple of passes on the car. It can be a long process. The better the paint the more times that you wet block sand the better it will be.

Is it a single stage paint OR base / clear? DO NOT expect full and complete coverage on your first coat! Spray even LIGHT coats, as many as it takes. Different colors will take more or less coats depending on the color of the primer
